Flowers can be a nice addition to quick handmade gifts.  One way to go is to get a straight-sided vase, perferably terra cotta.  Find the element that says what you want the gift to communicate put it together and give it away. You would be surprised by the result. Elements could be fabric from an old blanket, bark, stones, pictures, most anything you would like.  Hot glue gun it to the pot, get the appropriate flowers and gift away.  It looked awesome. I do not know what is your benchmark for easy, but to me this is one of the easiest way to make a gift.
