After the dog bit me I called a Fort Myers injury attorney

August 3rd, 2009 . by admin

I was walking down our street in the rural part of Fort Myers, Florida and all of a sudden I heard a dog barking I turned and the big Pit Bull was on me before I know what hit me. The dog really did a number on my arms and legs I ended up going to the emergency room to be treated for my wounds. Dog bites are deep wounds and they hurt a lot. After I got out of the hospital I decided to cal a Fort Myers injury attorney to see if I had a case. It was the best decision I ever made.  We settled out of court for a tidy sum. Most people don’t know how painful dog bites can be. I feel strongly that my case was merited and so did everyone else.

What is divorce?

July 15th, 2009 . by admin

Divorce or dissolution of marriage is the final termination of a marriage, canceling the legal duties and responsibilities of marriage and dissolving the bonds of matrimony between two persons. In most countries, Divorce requires the sanction of a judge or other authority in a legal process to complete a divorce. Almost half of all U.S. marriages end in divorce. Like every major life change, divorce is stressful. It affects finances, living arrangements, household jobs, schedules and more. If the family includes children, they may be deeply affected. While married couples do not possess a constitutional or legal right to divorce, states permit divorces because to do so best serves public policy. To ensure that a particular divorce serves public policy interests, some states require a “cooling-off period,” which prescribes a time period after legal separation that spouses must bear before they can initiate divorce proceedings.

LPN vs RN

July 10th, 2009 . by admin

There are some differences when it comes to LPN Vs RN. The experience and nursing education of a RN is much more than that of LPN. A RN course is a four year diploma or degree program whereas a LPN course can be completed within a year. The salaries of both these professionals also have major differences. An RN has better career opportunities in healthcare industry as they have more intense training in handling critical situations and also trained in other behavioral sciences such as psychology.
Many LPNs are looking to pursue their nursing career by becoming RNs as they want to be in a better position to serve their patients and also boost their career job-wise as well as salary-wise.

Family Owned and Operated Pharmacy

July 6th, 2009 . by admin

It has always been a dream of my husband’s to own his own pharmacy, and it looks like that dream just might come true. The pharmacy in our home town is for sale, because the owner wants to retire, and none of her kids want to take over. So we are in the process of trying to get a business loan, so that we can buy it. I’m also looking into pharmacy technician schools, so that I can start learning about the pharmacy industry while we are getting set up. Even though my husband could teach me, we decided that he should focus on getting the business running, and I should study. Then, when we open, we won’t have to take the time to train.

Take a Patent Job or an Electrical Engineering Job?

June 21st, 2009 . by admin

My sister is such an overachiever. Not only does she have a bachelors degree in electrical engineering, she also has a masters degree in law. She has always been smarter than me, at least when it comes to book learning. In terms of common sense though, I have her beat. Like right now, she is looking at all sorts of jobs, trying to decide between electrical engineering jobs and patent jobs. A patent agent makes more money than an electrical engineer, and with her education, she could be a patent attorney – and you know attorneys make even more money. But she just isn’t sure if salary should be a factor in deciding – my common sense tells me to take the job with the most money! How else is she going to pay off those student loans?

Started with an absinthe quote but now what

June 3rd, 2009 . by admin

The last time I was writing a novel draft I thought about setting the mood with a quote at the beginning of each chapter. It’s harder than it seems. I’m writing about the beginning of the Edwardian period and although I found an interesting absinthe quote for the chapter where my protagonist inexplicably finds himself in Paris, I can’t seem to tie together a quote for each of the other chapters. I have half maybe. So I’m debating whether I should stick with the idea at all if I can’t pull it out of the bag for all of it. An idea half-done is not going to cut it.

Vicks Vapor Rub Used for Toenail Fungus Probably Sells More Vicks

May 29th, 2009 . by admin

I have no idea who started the rumor that Vicks vapor rub used for toenail fungus infection treatment works.  But whoever they are, they are wrong.  I tried it and it did absolutely nothing.  Not only did I try it, but I wasted several months trying it.  I was very frustrated at the end of those few months because I could have been using something better that may have worked.  I think it’s possible that Vicks themselves started the rumor that it works for onychomycosis in an attempt to raise their sales.  I know they are a big company but every little bit counts.
